Concrete planning guide

Define a useful concrete repair acceptance walk-through

A final walk-through should revisit the agreed scope and visible boundaries. It works best when the owner knows what can be reviewed and what requires later observation.

What to record

  • Bring the approved work sketch and list of agreed care instructions.
  • Review transitions, protected features and the documented work area.
  • Record questions with photographs while keeping the finished surface protected as directed.

The decision to discuss

Separate visible completion from later performance under rain, seasonal movement or normal loading. If an item needs follow-up, record its purpose and timing. A walk-through photograph is not a long-term durability test.

Why the surrounding context matters

New concrete needs appropriate moisture and temperature conditions while it develops its intended properties. Repair products also have their own protection requirements. The actual installed system and use should determine the care and reopening discussion rather than a generic calendar rule.
