Concrete planning guide

Evaluate decorative concrete samples without losing the functional scope

A color or texture sample is useful for appearance, but it does not answer questions about the base, drainage or joints. Review the sample alongside the proposed construction detail.

What to record

  • View samples under expected light and discuss wet appearance.
  • Show how the texture will meet doors, furniture and walking routes.
  • Keep any reference photograph identified as an example rather than a promised identical result.

The decision to discuss

Ask which aspects of the sample are representative and which will vary on site. The finish choice should fit actual use and care expectations. Agree on the functional work before treating appearance as the whole project.

Why the surrounding context matters

The finish discussion should follow the intended use and the condition of the material it covers. Appearance, transitions and care are useful owner decisions. A sample or photograph cannot establish hidden support, bond or long-term performance on its own.
